Christian Community Aid has provided services to the local communities of Eastwood and the surrounding suburbs since 1965.These services which include Aged Care, Family Day Care, Social Welfare, Financial Counselling and Adult Education have a positive impact on the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs for those in our community.We have a strong record of assisting people to strengthen lives. Volunteer Tutors Wanted for Leisure Learning Program“Leisure Learning” is a fun, low cost, daytime Community and Adult (CAE) Education program for adults, co-ordinated by Christian Community Aid.CAE promotes healthy mind, body and spirit in a safe and friendly environment for adults of all ages. The classes are varied and allow people from all walks of life to socialise, make new friendships; enjoy new experiences and gain new knowledge, whilst at the same time, promoting healthy ageing and a sense of “belonging”.All classes are tutored by volunteers. The classes are held during school terms at:

Mondays at West Ryde Uniting Church;
Tuesdays at Club RydeX , Top Ryde; and
Thursdays at Eastwood Uniting Church.

We are constantly offering more classes subject to finding suitable tutors to teach them. Tutors do not require any “formal” qualifications but need to be passionate about their chosen topic. Strong communication skills and the ability to share their knowledge effectively are also essential.
