Community Settlement Services Scheme
35 hours per week; SACS Award Grade 4
CCA is a busy, non-profit community organisation. We assist migrants and refuges settling in the Lower Northern Sydney area.
Essential criteria: Tertiary qualifications in social work or related fields, understanding of settlement issues, knowledge of government and non-government networks and services, knowledge of legislation and policy for people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, demonstrated team work, planning, verbal and written communication, and community development skills, demonstrated experience in cross cultural communication, ability to work within the environment & principles of CCAS, current driver’s licence and reliable car.
Desirable criteria: bilingual/bicultural.
A police records check will be conducted for the successful applicant. Funding for this position is guaranteed by the Department of Immigration & Citizenship until June 30, 2009. Recurrent funding expected.
