CCA provides financial and gambling counselling, migrant services and social welfare.

Financial Counselling
Financial counselling is a confidential, community service, which assists people who are experiencing financial difficulties or who need information relating to credit and debt. The service always strives to maintain the dignity of clients and encourages self reliance. It offers assistance with financial, business, and para-legal matters as well as provides skill in money management.

This is a free service.

Financial Counsellors

Financial Counsellors are qualified staff and volunteers, who are members of the Financial Counsellors’ Association of NSW. Face to face interviews are confidential, supportive and non- judgmental.

Social Welfare Services
The program supports children, young people, individuals and families so that they can enhance their independence, safety, self-esteem and quality of life within the community. Caseworkers coordinate and advocate access to services for individuals and families. They also provide counselling, intensive or crisis casework and support, and therapeutic intervention to individuals and families.

Court support is offered to those living in a domestic violence situation.

Emergency Relief Services
Clients who are experiencing a financial crisis are provided with information and referrals to appropriate services. They are also provided with practical, physical and material assistance and related support through the provision of vouchers for food, electricity, gas, water and telephone accounts.

Material aid such as food parcels, baby clothes, blankets and linen is also provided.

These are free services.

Migrant and Settlement Services

Migrants receive assistance with settlement issues, advocacy, referral and information services. They also assisted with access to culturally and linguistically appropriate mainstream services.

Clients receive assistance with housing, education, employment, financial problems, Centrelink payments, immigration information, English classes, volunteering and cultural expos. An overview of our services is detailed in this brochure.

Clients are assisted to become self-reliant and able to participate in Australian society as soon as possible after arrival. They are also encouraged to participate in the wider Australian community advocating for their own needs.
